DeltaPC Celebrates Successful First Peak

Last year around this time we announced that VeriStitch was moving away from hardware terminals as our primary machine interface and toward touchscreen-equipped PCs. Since then, DeltaPC, our Windows PC-based software solution, has made its debut on the production floors of some of our customer sites and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Here’s a quote from one of our large sites where they added several new single-head embroidery machines to sew lettering using Direct-to-Sew™ for Monogram Fonts:

"We found DeltaPC to be an excellent investment. The ease of use from an operator standpoint was phenomenal. We were able to streamline a normal three-day training period in half and our studies found that an embroidery machine operator was able to meet productivity goals in two weeks versus the previous four weeks. DeltaPC makes use of the rich graphical features of the common PC, allowing us to standardize in the DeltaPC interface a number of things operators usually do at the machine. If you’re familiar with embroidery machine interfaces, you know how obtuse they can be. DeltaPC changes that. Some functions that normally would be unwieldy to begin with and also entirely different from one vendor’s machine to another, are now easy, graphical and exactly the same regardless of machine type.

A good example of this is setting needle numbers for color changes. With DeltaPC, this is a simple touchscreen operation performed at DeltaPC, not at the machine. So not only does DeltaPC make it intuitive to do, it also makes it the same from machine to machine.
